Protect What Matters Most

We can’t prevent accidents, illnesses, or the unexpected — but we can prepare for their financial impact.

We help you find the right protection for you, your family, and the things you’ve built, with solutions tailored to your needs and budget.

The Healthcare System Pays Your Doctor.

These Benefits Pay You.

OHIP and your employer-sponsored benefits plan may help cover healthcare costs, but they don’t replace the income you lose when you’re unable to work.

These insurance benefits are paid directly to you and can help cover whatever you need — rent, mortgage payments, groceries, household help, and other everyday expenses.

They can provide additional financial protection on top of the coverage you already have, subject to the terms and conditions of each policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

I already have life insurance. Why would I need additional coverage?

Life insurance provides a benefit to your beneficiaries after you pass away. These types of coverage can provide benefits directly to you while you’re alive, when an illness or accident affects your ability to work or earn an income. They serve different purposes and can complement each other.

I already have OHIP and an employer benefits plan. Isn’t that enough?

Those plans can help cover healthcare costs, but they don’t replace your income or cover your everyday living expenses. They generally aren’t designed to pay your rent, mortgage, or groceries while you’re unable to work. These benefits may provide additional financial protection alongside OHIP, private insurance, or employer benefits, where applicable and subject to the policy terms.

I’m self-employed and my income varies. Can I still get coverage?

Potentially, yes. Income protection can be particularly valuable for self-employed workers, rideshare drivers, contractors, and others whose income may stop or decrease significantly if they’re unable to work. Eligibility and coverage depend on your individual circumstances and the requirements of the policy.

How much does it cost?

It depends on factors such as your age, health, and the coverage you choose. That’s why we don’t publish generic prices: two people with the same type of insurance can have very different premiums. During your appointment, we’ll review your actual options and pricing with no obligation. In general, applying at a younger age may result in lower premiums.

Who receives the benefit?

In many Living Benefits policies, eligible benefits are paid directly to you rather than to a hospital or doctor. You can generally use the benefit according to your needs, subject to the terms of your policy.

Do I have to visit an office?

Not necessarily. Your appointment can be in person, by video call, or over the phone — whatever works best for you.
